Milestones in OEZ history

1941

  • the company was founded

1949

  • the production plant was built at the place of current headquarters

1952

  • OEZ (abbreviation for "Orlické elektrotechnické závody") is used as the name of the company for the first time

1994

  • start of OEZ Letohrad s.r.o. due to the privatization of the production part of company OEZ Letohrad s. p. , new company is owned by six Czech citizens

1995

  • OEZ Slovakia, spol s r.o. was founded as subsidiary and exclusive partner in Slovakia

1997

  • OEZ International a.s., Prague was established in order to cover foreign markets

2001

  • the company´s name was altered to OEZ s.r.o.
  • OEZ Deutschland GmbH was founded

2002

  • OEZ s.r.o. became shareholder in companies Zkušebnictví, a.s. (Independent Testing laboratory) and Elektrorozvaděče, s.r.o. (Panel Building company)
  • introduction of OEZ Group

2003

  • subsidiaries in Poland, Ukraine and Russia were founded

2004

  • modern administrative building and training centre were opened

2005

  • OEZ EM s.r.o. was founded
  • OEZ became non-smoking company

2006

  • OEZ EM s.r.o. became shareholder of electro division of company NH Zábřeh, a.s.
  • majority share in company Elektrorozvaděče, s.r.o. was sold
  • endowment fund BUDOUCNOST was founded in order to support students of technical schools/universities

2007

  • completion of contract with strategic partner - Siemens Group

2008

  • two new production halls were built, company has increased its production capacity and intensified its R&D activities
  • introduction of MINIA range of modular devices

 2009

  • the largest OEZ production hall MINIA (1400m2) was opened

2010

  • Construction of the new hall for ACB production – production from Berlin
  • transferred to Letohrad testing lab reconstruction

2011

  • 70th anniversary of the company
  • Beginning of the Kraliky production site

2012

  • increasing of Kraliky production
  • construction of new part of testing lab (Letohrad)

2013

  • production transfer from Zamberk to Kraliky
  • Finishing of the II. phase testing lab reconstruction

2015

  • extension and stabilization of moulded case device manufacturing in Kraliky
