Fuse-links for semiconductor protection
Fuse-links for semiconductor protection are intended for protecting semiconductors and devices that are especially sensitive to short circuits. These are distinguished in particular by the following features: exceptionally low values of I2t and cut-off currents, small dimensions and low power losses, suitable for use even in adverse climatic conditions, remote signalling of fuse condition, possibility for parallel connection of fuse-links. Fuse-links do not contain hazardous substances according to Directive 2002/95/EC (RoHS) (cadmium, lead and others).
They are produced with the following characteristics:
- utilisation category gR/gS for protecting semiconductor devices and cabeles against overload and short circuits
- utilisation category gR for protecting semiconductor devices against overload and short circuits
- utilisation category aR for protecting semiconductor devices only against short circuits
Semiconductor fuse holders are intended for mechanical mounting of fuse-links for semiconductor protection where busbar spacings are 75, 80, 110 or 170 mm. The holders’ supporting parts are made from steatite or zinc-chromated steel sheet and with steatite carriers for the mounting bolts.
